Night School (Terror Eyes, 1981)
"There's been another killing."
"Mmm."
"That doesn't seem to surprise you."
"When man kills for the sake of killing, there's no reason why he should stop."
"Do you really believe that man can go out and kill, just like that?"
"Why not? You see, animals kill when they're hungry or when they're threatened. But man is the only animal who destroys his own kind for the sheer pleasure of it."

Mitch Miller and Annette (that 70s show) for the mbti and enneagram thing?
Hi there, Poorni! I really hope you like this a lot!
Mitch Miller's MBTI Type, Big Three and Enneagram Type
MBTI Type: ESTJ [The Executive]
ESTJ types are very high energy. They’d rather spend their time with other people than alone.
They tend to pay more attention to the details of a situation. They make decisions based on what they see right now.
Commanders base their decisions on what makes sense, rather than what feels right. They listen to their head, not their heart.
They are responsible and like to plan ahead. They hold themselves accountable by making lists and following set processes and rules.
Big Three: Aquarius Sun, Aries Moon and Libra Rising
Aquarius Sun: Aquarius is ruled by Saturn and Uranus, which makes them seek out unique ways to problem-solve and to approach life. They're known to be intellectual and innovative.
Aries Moon: Lunar Aries are known to be emotionally responsive and impulsive at times, as they lead with fiery passions over than logic or reason.
Libra Rising: Finding balance in life is essential for Libra risings, who prefer things to be even-keeled and civil.
Enneagram Type: 3w4 [The Expert]
Basic Fear: Enneagram type threes with a four wing are afraid of failure. They tend to throw themselves into their careers and do anything it takes to succeed.
Basic Desire: Their most basic desire is to succeed and feel valued. They may show this by seeking validation of their hard work and successes.
Experts defend themselves by adapting or changing their personalities to fit their environment. This makes them great communicators, but may also lead them to being misunderstood or feeling fraudulent.
Annette Berkardt's MBTI Type, Big Three and Enneagram Type
MBTI Type: ESFP [The Entertainer]
ESFPs are very outgoing and lively people. They thrive in groups and prefer not to spend too much time alone.
They are very observant, focusing closely on the details rather than the grand scheme. They think in terms of the present.
Entertainers tend to prioritize emotion when making decisions, concerning themselves more with how their decisions will affect others. They are empathetic and diplomatic.
They rely more on opportunity than rigid scheduling. They are spontaneous, playful people, with a passion for finding new adventures.
Big Three: Leo Sun, Cancer Moon and Sagittarius Rising
Leo Sun: The Sun rules the sign Leo, which is why Leo Suns all about ego, will, and character. They’re known to be creative, playful, and bold.
Cancer Moon: The emotions of Cancer Moons have no limits, restraints, or depths. This is a cosmic placement that often leads to sweetness, kindness, emotional awareness and responsibility.
Sagittarius Rising: Sagittarius risings are jovial, optimistic, and full of energy. They sparkle with confidence, and you can't help but sparkle back when you're around them.
Enneagram Type: 7w6 [The Pathfinder]
Basic Fear: Sevens with a six wing have a deeply-rooted fear of missing out. They want to be trustworthy and honor commitments, but they also want to leave room to allow for last-minute opportunities.
Basic Desire: Their basic desire is to feel fulfilled and happy. They express this by searching for joy in every small thing that comes their way.
Pathfinders defend themselves by rationalizing away negative feelings. They unconsciously convince themselves that they are happy, even when they are not.

I've gotten a few asks for a list of Met Galas. Technically, the gala has existed since 1948, and been themed since 1973, but I started at 2001 to keep it short (there was no gala in 2000 apparently). If you're interested in every theme that's ever existed, there's a chart on Wikipedia.

LEIGH'S RIDICULOUSLY BIG TBR/TBW LISTS
like i mentioned before i am too busy/hesitant to actually consume a lot of new media (or at least be able to focus on it) so i'm critically behind on so much stuff. don't judge me pls :S lmao
anything in bold is something that i've begun but not finished :P tagging @snow-in-the-desert bc you expressed interest in seeing the lists!
TO READ:
The Love Hypothesis - Ali Hazelwood
The Hurricane Wars - Thea Guanzon
Winter's Promise - Christelle Dabos
The Stand - Stephen King
North and South - Elizabeth Gaskell
The Nightingale - Kristin Hannah
Little Women - Louisa May Alcott
Work - Louisa May Alcott
Don Quixote - Miguel de Cervantes
Dr. Sleep - Stephen King
The Secret History - Donna Tartt
The Last Duel - Erik Jager
Portrait of a Lady - Henry James
The Song of Achilles - Madeline Miller
The Age of Innocence - Edith Wharton
The Great Mortality - John Kelly
Dead by Sunset - Ann Rule
Dracula - Bram Stoker
It's Lonely at the Center of the Earth - Zoe Thorogood
The Great Influenza - John M. Barry
The Monster of Florence - Douglas Preston
The Lottery and other stories - Shirley Jackson
Helter Skelter - Vincent Bugliosi with Curt Gentry
White Noise - Don DeLilo
Icebreaker - Hannah Grace
She Is a Haunting - Trang Thanh Tran
This Thing Between Us: A Novel - Gus Moreno
Parable of the Sower - Octavia E. Butler
^^ This is an incomplete list--I know there are others but these are the books I've bought over the past couple years and have not yet finished/ready. They are stacked on my desk and around my room, silently accusing me of neglect. I wither in shame. The rest of the list escapes me currently. This also doesn't include the tbrs currently on my e-reader since I can't remember where it is to see what's on there.
MOVIES/MEDIA TO WATCH:
Any Adam Driver movie that isn't on Netflix (House of Gucci, Annette, Paterson etc.) I have seen the Last Duel, Blackkklansman, This is where I leave you, Marriage Story, White Noise, Frances Ha and a few others). I know Ferarri is in theaters right now but I've kind of developed a phobia of theaters since 2020 :S
a ridiculous number of documentaries/video essays on youtube that I do not have the energy to go look for right now
Fall of the House of Usher (I love Mike Flanagan's work but I'm still hooked on Midnight Mass and Daddy Father Prewitt)
The Haunting of Bly Manor (I know everyone was obsessed with this and I meant to watch it but I was reading the Turn of the Screw when it came out and didn't want to get spoiled for it so I avoided it like the plague and finished the book but never got to watching the show)
Blue Eye Samurai
The Beguiled
Ugly Betty (I'm actually on season 2 and it's charming and funny but holy shit the amount of body shaming/slut shaming/ homophobia in this show. definitely a product of its time.)
Anne with an E
Fleabag (never finished it but thought it was amazing)
What we do in the shadows (have seen all but the most current season)
Reservation dogs
The Batman (2023)
Black Swan
The Crown
Band of Brothers
Demon Slayer
Whiplash
Wolf of Wall Street
Birds of Prey
Downton Abbey
Peaky Blinders
Nimona
Drag me to Hell
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Queen Charlotte (halfway through but haven't finished. i hate things that make me cry when i watch them so i have to be in a very specific mood to watch emotional heavy things)
Lady Bird
The Banshees of Inisherin
BARBIE (*ducks thrown rocks* I'll get to it, i SWEAR) (but i'm amazing at avoiding spoilers at this point i still know very little about the movie)
Men
Pearl
The Invisible Man
The Turning
Succession
Suspiria
Promising Young Woman
Shiva Baby
Luca
The Green Knight
Licorice Pizza
Bullet Train
The Menu
Women Talking
Knives Out + Glass Onion (*ducks more thrown rocks*)
Paddington 2!!!!
SHadow and Bone (honestly I lost almost all interest in reading/watching this once I heard the hot villain dies. BOOOO)
Carol
That one newish show with Adam Scott that looks super liminal and sci fi i can't remember the name
The Killing of a Sacred Deer
Oppenheimer
Killers of the Flower Moon
Guardians of the Galaxy 3
M3gan
Turning Red
Everything Everywhere All At once
Nope
Barbarian
Just like the book list, I'm sure there's many other titles I'm forgetting to put here. I actually have branched out and watched a fair amount of new movies this year so i'm going to keep it going! and here's one more list just because this is fun
Stuff I watched or read in 2023 that I loved/recommend (with the caveat that not all of this came out in 2023): (and i'm not including obvious stuff like Spider man across the spiderverse)
White Noise
Don't Look Up
Living in the Time of Dying (documentary on Youtube. It is HEAVY on existentialism and the science/data on the current state of climate change. This WILL ruin your day so I'm warning you now. Definitely don't watch it today. This really affected me and I cried for a long time after watching this but it is incredibly important to keep in mind.)
Blackkklansman (i had to watch this with the volume on the lowest setting bc of all the n words being dropped so frequently lmao but goddamn this was so good and funnier than i expected.)
DIMENSION 20: Burrow's End!!!!! As well as The Unsleeping City season 1. Neverafter and A Crown of Candy are probably at the lower end of the list but I still love them. (thank you to @rogueimperator for cluing me onto how amazing D20 and Dropout are. <3 this is a whole new world lol)
Midnight Sun :)
7. Christine and the Queens - Redcar les adorables étoiles Full show on Youtube. I was supposed to see him live in October but he got injured and had to cancel the rest of his tour :( but this album and the video are incredible! Slight warning for semi nudity.
8. Game Changer on Dropout. he's been here the whole time!
9. The 1975 live at Madison Square Garden. I was lucky enough to see them twice this tour with my twin sister and we had an absolutely amazing time. They always put on amazing shows and this particular tour/their latest album meant so much to us. Even our younger brother has come with us for some of these shows so it's something we all share. (Last time they came to Chicago in 2022 the venue was too small so they didn't have the House set with them so we didn't get to see it in action until this year) Sex and The Sound will always be the perfect closers for their shows and I get so emotional every time I hear them. Core memories for sure.
10. Puss in Boots: the last wish. this seems like another obvious answer that i probably could have left off but this gets an honorary mention because our family cat was diagnosed with advanced bone cancer in August, and we had to put him down very soon after that diagnosis. We spent an agonizing week tending to him and cherishing every last second we could get with him. I've been fortunate enough to never experience the death of a pet until this year, and i almost wish we didn't have any pets at all because I've never felt such excruciating grief. He was a fat, grumpy orange boy with beautiful yellow stripes and a little yellow mustache. I was trying to distract myself and found this movie on Netflix and watched it, then recommended it to my sister (who is actually Thomas's owner but we all shared him) though I warned her the movie did deal with themes on mortality. We all watched it together the night before his final vet visit and Tommy was there with us on a comfy pillow. I hope he approved of the movie, because now any time I think of Puss in Boots i think of him. <3
I could add more to this but my eyes are tired and I'm wired up from coffee. I know this is long as hell so sorry but I had fun making it! I'll probably keep coming back to this post in the future to cross out what I've watched.

hi hi, so from that fic where Lou gets Debs a collar, could you do something where the crew is over and someone finds the collar just lying about, and everyone thinks they got a dog but then realise its for Deb 🙈 bonus for "over it" Tams reaction. <3
“Why am I always the last to know?”
“What’re you last to know about?” Constance asked. She was currently laying upside down with her legs thrown over the back of the couch, trying and failing to catch cheese balls in her mouth that Nine was purposely chucking towards her forehead instead.
“Just…I don’t know. Things!” Amita grumbled. “Lou and Deb’s engagement. When Rose and Daph started dating. That time you actually used your Metro card instead of jumping the turnstile!”
“You’re not the last to know,”
Tammy rolled her eyes. “This group just assumes that once one of us knows we all know.”
“Alright,” Amita nodded, slapping something down on the coffee table. A simple black dog collar with gold trim. “Well then, since when did we all know that they have a dog?”
“A dog?” Constance shot up. “Where is it? Can I walk it? Dude. Can we teach it tricks?”
“Who has a dog?” Rose asked sleepily.
“Lou and Debbie,” Amita exhaled. “That’s what I’m saying.”
“They don’t have a dog,” Tammy rolled her eyes. “Have you seen a dog?”
“That’s my point!” Amita flung herself on the couch. “But. Wait. Nobody’s seen it?”
“Nope,” Nine shook her head, finally eating a cheese puff herself. “No dog far as I know.”
“Would Lou even like a dog?” Rose pondered aloud.
“Lou is a dog,” Tammy provided unhelpfully.
“Oh Deb is def a cat!” Constance piped up.
“So would a cat who’s marrying a dog want another dog?” Rose asked.
“I don’t like this conversation,” Amita hmphed. “But nobody knew? Swear?”
“Nobody knew, Mita,” Tammy promised her. “But I feel like we’d have to know, right? I mean one of us would have seen it. Or heard it. It’s a whole dog. They’re not quiet. And they can’t hide it forever without feeding and bathing and walking it. Maybe they’re planning on getting a dog?”
“If Deb was planning anything, even just picking some shit, there’s be plans everywhere. Come on. You know this by now,” Nine pointed out.
The door swung open, rattling against the wall before it was thrown shut again.
“What did I miss?” Daphne asked, propping her sunglasses on her head.
“Lou and Debbie got a dog.”
“Today?” Daphne asked, making a sour face at the cheese ball container that Nine held out to her.
“No. They just have one,” Amita exhaled. “And none of us knew.”
“That’s impossible,” Daphne declared. “There’s eight people in and out of this loft. One of us would have heard or seen it. And thanks to Debbie’s stupid loft contract addendum thanks to Constance’s secret lizard, they would have to tell us about a dog. And. We’d have to vote on it. Majority loft rules. No dog.”
“No dog?” Amita checked. “So then why in the world would they—“
“Check the inside,” Daphne smirked deviously as Tammy let out a strangled choking sound before tucking her head inside her lap.
“Property of Lou Miller?” Amita read. “That’s not really helpful. You need like the owner name yeah but also the address and the phone number in case the dog gets out.”
“Again. There’s no dog,” Daphne grinned.
“DEBORAH ELISE OCEAN!” Tammy screeched.
There were a few giggles and curses from upstairs and then the sound of things being knocked around.
“Find something?” Debbie called down before snorting and breaking into a fit of giggles.
“Oh my god,” Amita spoke, looking nauseous. “It’s a collar. It’s a sex collar. It’s some bdsm shit. You two are our parents damnit.”
“Come explain yourself!” Tammy screeched. “And hide your sex shit better.”
“You read the collar,” Debbie yelled back. “It’s not mine. The collar belongs to Lou and therefore I—“
“LOUISE ANNETTE MILLER, I SWEAR TO GOD—“ Tammy screeched, marching towards the stairs in a rage as Amita sent the collar sailing after her.

With a Resounding "Yes", It's Time for Paranormasight VA Headcanons!
I'm going to be an oddball and switch between Japanese & English VAs when I find it relevant. Also my order's gonna be based on how strongly I think the headcanon works. I'll also try to provide examples for the angle I'm going for
let's a go
Tetsuo Tsutsumi Japanese: Option 1 - Akio Otsuka (Executioner from Akudama Drive). Option 2 - Jouji Nakata (Osvald from Octopath Traveler 2) English: Option 1 - Jamieson Price (Malik Caesar from Tales of Graces F). Option 2 - Jason Douglas (Kishibe from Chainsaw Man)
Middle aged men characters are my specialty so really it depends on the delivery you want. Richard Epcar (Ace from 999) could also work for English as well as Bill Butts (Ciocolotta from Jojo part 5)
Makoto Ashimiya/Fumichika Nejima Japanese: Kenjiro Tsuda (Ogata from Golden Kamuy...and also Kishibe from Chainsaw Man). Katsuyuki Konishi could also be a good example but I can't really think of an old man character. I guess Takehito Koyasu could also work? But like this is THE most TsudaKen looking motherfucker I've ever seen English: Joe J. Thomas (Nobunaga Hazama from Hunter x Hunter). His "So I did" line really cemented this casting choice tbh.
Richter Kai Japanese: Shiniciro Miki (Kisuke Urahara from Bleach) English: For this, it depends again on the delivery you want. I originally wanted Doug Erholz (maybe not like Vega from Street Fighter), but upon closer inspection, Ray Chase (Uzui Tengen from Demon Slayer) might be a better pick.
Harue Shigima English: Laura Post (Empress from A Hat in Time) Japanese: Kikuko Inoue (Rhea from Fire Emblem Three Houses)
It just works, it just works~
Shogo Okiie English: Chris Hackney (Yuito from Scarlet Nexus) Japanese: Tatsuhisa Suzuki (Noctis from Final Fantasy 15)
Standard older protagonist
Jun Erio Japanese: Kaito Ishikawa (Noe from Case Study of Vanitas or Iida from My Hero Academia) English: Griffin Burns (Doppio from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure). Zeno Robinson (Akira from Zom 100) would also work great!
An excitable character that I think can work great with the right delivery.
Takumi Yumioka Japanese: Toshiyuki Morikawa (Yoshikage Kira from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure) English: Ben Lepley (Gouto from 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim)
I feel like a flat delivery that still has an air of intimidation would work best for him.
Mayu Chozawa English: Option 1 - Tara Sands (Sonya from Fire Emblem Echoes); Option 2 - Cristina Vee (Velvet from Tales of Berseria). Amanda C. Miller (Sailor Jupiter from Sailor Moon) is also a good pick along with Heather Gonzalez (Cherche from Fire Emblem Heroes) Japanese: Miyuki Sawashiro (Kyoko Honda from Fruits Basket). Nana Mizuki could also work, though I sadly can't think of a role off the top of my head
Going for the woman who grew up a punk vibe
Yutaro Namigaki Japanese: Jun Fukuyama (Draluc from Vampire Dies in No Time) English: It's tempting to put Xander Mobus for the total Joker Persona 5 duology but ehhhhh. It depends on the delivery again. Brian Beacock (Luthier from Fire Emblem Echoes) or Steve Staley (Hubert from Tales of Graces F) could also work tbh. Maybe Lucien Dodge (Waver Velvet from Fate/Zero)
Ayame Touno English: Faye Mata (Amame from AI: The Somnium Files) Japanese: Rie Kugimiya (Rise from Persona 4)
The voices contrast each other, but I think each one compliments the kind of character Ayame is.
Storyteller Japanese: Hochu Otsuka (Tsurumi from Golden Kamuy) English: TBD
Here's where I'm starting to think about 1 solid casting and kinda improvising for the second one. I think the Storyteller changes voices depending on the mask they wear, so for this old man mask, an old man they shall sound like.
Michiyo Shiraishi English: Xanthe Huynh (Marianne from Fire Emblem Three Houses) Japanese: Aya Endo (Miyuki from Lucky Star)
Few lines for such a sweet gal
Yakko Sakazaki English: Abby Trott (Older Annette from Fire Emblem Three Houses). For some reason I also pictured Cassandra Lee Morris (Tomi Kisaragi from 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim) Japanese: Marina Inoue (Female Protagonist from Persona 3 Portable)
Spunky young lady, ain't she?
Mio Kurosuzu English: Amber Connor (Faye from Fire Emblem Echoes) Japanese: Rie Murakawa (Est from Fire Emblem Echoes)
Young but calm & sweet
Yoko Fukunaga English: Cherami Leigh (Patty from Soul Eater) Japanese: Saori Hayami (Yor from Spy x Family)
Not related to casting but I think she and Ayame would be weird girl besties and I love that for them
Hideiki Araishi English: Patrick Seitz (there's a specific role in mind that sounds similar to Mama from AI: The Somnium Files but naaah that doesn't sound right) Japanese: Tomokazu Sugita (sadly can't think of a role off the top of my head)
He's a bit of a snob so something a bit arrogant works best
Kohei Jounichi Japanese: Here's where I think Katsuyki Konishi would fit best (Koito from Golden Kamuy comes to mind, oddly). Makoto Furukawa (why did I think Ronaldo from Vampire Dies in No Time??) could also work English: I think this will depend on the delivery. Do you want him more cowardly? I kinda see David Vincent tbh (Henri from Iruma-kun)
Hajime Yoshimi English: He could be another potential Patrick Seitz role, but I want to avoid double casting as much as possible. Japanese: Subaru Kimura (Todo from Jujutsu Kaisen)
Hitomi Okuda Japanese: Ai Farouz (Jolyne Kujo from JJBA) English: Option 1 - Laura Stahl (Alear from Fire Emblem Engage); Option 2 - Erica Mendez (can't think of a role off the top of my head)
Once again going for toughness, but from a younger angle
aaaand I think that's all the voiced characters! Some roles I had to think up of on the spot, so I might come back and revisit this, but I'm open for suggestions as well!
